Jessica's technique has developed to a level where she can cut and pierce the rubber with a high level of detail, creating shapes based on plant stems: rose thorns, berries, seaweed, leaf buds and seed pods inform the design of each piece.

The range began with functional glasses cords, where durability and elasticity combine into a practical yet decorative item.
Necklaces and wrist straps then followed: the limitations of this material prove to be an exciting challenge and a route to invention for Jessica. Recognising the versatility and abundance of the sheer range of modern waste materials is a life-long passion for Jessica and is combined with her love of the practical process of making and reinventing in simple but effective ways.
