With the theme of Seaside, the tasks were;
to make an intricate Petri dish collage using fabric, paper and scrap materials;
to draw an observational portrait of a beach pebble, with colour, texture and to be as 3D as possible;
to draw a tonal landscape with pencil crayon on fine sandpaper, for the beach pebble to 'sit' in;
and to make a picture with denim jeans - the back pockets make great beach huts - using fraying, cutting and all the details found with this garment. (See Gallery for more images.)
An exhibition of the work from Burnham Market, Docking, Langham and Walsingham schools was then on public display for 3 weeks and much admired by all.
Funding for this project came from NADFAS, the National Association for Decorative and Fine Art Societies.
